D lang compilers have an option -release (or similar) which turns off
asserts, contracts, and other runtime type checking. This patch wires
that up to the b_ndebug flag.

The GNUstep runtime shipped in Linux distros is GCC-specific and won't
work with clang. You have to build it separately and set the paths
yourself.
