Soheil Hassas Yeganeh	6c49b3dad7	Eliminate function pointers in hpack_enc(). Using a conditional branch to set a function pointer will prevent the compiler to inline the function and worse it would jump based on a register value killing the pipline. Here is a short example to demonstrate the variants: https://godbolt.org/z/radfZg Remove `add_nothing` and add a lambda when necessary to make sure everything is inlined.	6 years ago
Benjamin Peterson	0baadc7289	Allow gpr compatibility mode to be disabled in the Python build. Add an environmental variable GRPC_PYTHON_DISABLE_LIBC_COMPATIBILITY that unsets the GPR_BACKWARDS_COMPATIBILITY_MODE macro during the C++ build. The reason I'm interested in this to allow gpr_now to use the vdso rather than a syscall to read the time.	6 years ago
