Stefano Sabatini	ad347bf459	lavfi: remove avfilter_default_item_name() from public API The function was introduced in `4d6a8a2bdb` and is not used anymore outside avfilter.c. This avoids to pollute the public API with an apparently unnecessary function. The function was introduced a few days ago, so removing it from the public API should do no much harm.	13 years ago

Stefano Sabatini	4d6a8a2bdb	lavfi: add avfilter_default_filter_name() The function is modelled after av_default_item_name(), and will print the name of the instance filter if defined, otherwise the name of the filter. This allows to show the instance name in the log, which is useful when debugging complex filter graphs.	13 years ago

Marton Balint	94a9ac1277	lavf: add av_guess_frame_sample_aspect_ratio function Guesses the sample aspect ratio of a frame, based on both the stream and the frame aspect ratio. Since the frame aspect ratio is set by the codec but the stream aspect ratio is set by the demuxer, these two may not be equal. This function tries to return the value that you should use if you would like to display the frame. Basic logic is to use the stream aspect ratio if it is set to something sane otherwise use the frame aspect ratio. This way a container setting, which is usually easy to modify can override the coded value in the frames.
